Wendy Williams – MBACP
Wendy is a Person Centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and works within their ethical framework.
The essence of Person Centred counselling is to work with the client, without judgement, to enable them to identify the best way to work through their issues. Wendy achieves this by providing a safe, confidential space, to enable you to explore your issues, so you can make changes to overcome the overwhelming feelings you are experiencing.
What is discussed in the session is whatever you would like to bring. Wendy will not direct you or make suggestions regarding any actions you should take and does not provide advice.
The most important part of the therapeutic relationship is the trust and honesty that is developed through working together. Wendy’s focus in the session is you the client and through working together giving you the confidence to move forward.
Qualifications and experience
Wendy has achieved the following qualifications:
- Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
- Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
- Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Wendy also maintains knowledge and counselling skills by attending Continuous Personal Development (CPD) relevant to the Person Centred approach and developing skills and knowledge in other theoretical approaches.
Wendy has worked in an agency setting, working with adults, with various counselling issues and has also worked with clients who have long term illness.
